This is the cover. I was free to choose the subject, so I painted the goddess Athenea. She's one of my favourites , goddes of war and arts. In her shield is represented Medusa's head. It's traditional. And she wears a helmet. In greek sculpture she use to wear the helmet on her head but on the backside so you can see her face, so I've draw her too. This is one of my favourites illustrations of the book.

I love the sense of line in this. I also find the image of the sphynx in the back ground to be really apropriate.
